Founded in 2014, Boxmoor Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is the perfect place to begin or continue your martial arts journey. Our fully-equipped facility includes a large matted training space, weights and cardio gym, seated viewing area, showers, sauna, toilets, and male and female changing rooms. Our head coach and founder is Daniel (Dan) Cox.

 

Dan is a third degree black belt who has trained Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu since 2005. He was awarded his black belt by the late Nicholas (Nick) Hunter Brooks in 2017, who was a third degree black belt under multiple world champion Roger Gracie. Dan received his first degree from Nick in 2020, his second degree from David Onuma in 2023, and his third degree from David Onuma in 2026. Dan has been training in martial arts for over 40 years and also holds black belts in judo and multiple forms of traditional martial arts. He is an active competitor with international competition wins and multiple gold medals at black belt level, including ​IBJJF Europeans, European Masters, British, English, and AJP Championships. Over ten years of teaching, Dan has coached a number of students to a high level, many of whom are now black belts who teach at the academy.

 

All of our kids coaches are DBS checked. ​
